Anxiety is an emotional response that we are all familiar with. Everyone recognises the unpleasant feeling that comes when preparing for an exam or giving a speech at an important event. Your hands are clammy and shake, your heart pounds. Sometimes you feel that you need to go to the washroom. You can't think straight and are easily rattled. When you finally try to say something, your voice is weak and croaky. Some people experience "butterflies in their stomach".
