Things to remember if you suffer from depression

Depression does go away, but you have to get help.
Remember depression is a medical illness.
Depression makes you have an unrealistic view of everything.
The more negative thoughts you have, the less energy you have to get things done.
Be active
Be careful of any advice to stop doing things, as it is important to remain active, even when you don't want to.
Once your medication kicks in you'll be able to do more. Activity will help you to gradually recharge your batteries again.
Of course, you have very little strength to draw on when you're depressed. Nevertheless, maintain activity at a level where you feel comfortable. You can still do plenty of things, even if you're not as keen on them as before.
